I have always thought that some storylines were forgotten since the show finished in 2003. People always go on and on about the body under the patio or the gas explosion and so on.
One storyline which I particually enjoyed was during Christmas 1996. This was when Bev burned down No8 or 'Casa Bevron'. It hardly ever gets a mention, and I can't find anything on the internet about it apart from the brief episode guides on the Brookside Soapbox website. I can remember the special 90min episode which started as the previous one had ended.
The fire was AWESOME!!! Here were some highlights
Ron running back into the house to save Jackie Corkhill while most of the residents converged on the close to watch.
Sinbad and Mick Johnson breaking into the Farnhams house to get them out
Max telling Sussanah to call the police because he thought Sinbad and Mick were burglars.
Sinbad dragging Mike Dixon away from the back door just before an explosion occures caused by a backdraft
At this point, the camera panns from around the bushes by the 'Brookside Close' sign to reveal the whole of No8 completely engulfed, including some of the roof, by flames.
It was a top episode!! -

i personally enjoyed the whole Drug seige storyline, if only for the brilliance of the main dealer (i forget his name). Thats why my favourite episode is when they track him down in manchesterand also the unfinished business spin off

I really enjoyed when Susannah Morrisey divorced Max and turned into the show's superbitch, and her eventual murder mystery.

Doreen having an affair with the dentist she worked for so he would help her pay the bills (prostitution really) then her husband going mental when he found out and driving across all the neighbours' lawns shouting like a loony. He was called Billy, can't remember their surname.

I started watching it while I was in school, when the dug up Trevor, as everyone was going on about it
Shortly after they had a story where an old man called George (he's been in One Foot in the Grave, George & Mildred) stayed at the close. He had been abroad can came back with some terrible virus that infected and killed loads of the residents. Leo Johnson (I think) saw his mate collapse and die in the swimming pool and Patricia's mum, Jean, nearly died. Her husband confessed to an affair when he thought she would die. She lived and left him. Racist Ron accused Mick Johnson of poisoning everyone from his pizza shop.
