Just saw this movie for the first time.
Steve Martin simeltaneously tap-dancing and juggling, it doesn't get much better than that!!!!!
Really enjoyed this film - brilliantly zany - the sort of film that Steve Martin does best - it's a shame they stopped making these movies as soon as the 1980's ended, though Father of the Bride had some great moments.

I agree! This is my favourite Steve Martin film. I love it!
It's a Geoffrey Rush thing, you wouldn't understand!

I saw it. I didn't like it. Not at all. But I'm biased since I don't particularly care for Steve Martin or his humor.
In the blurb discription on IMDb the writer says that this is a spoof. What exactly does this movie spoof?

Even after more than 20 years, this movie still makes me laugh out loudone of Steve's finest hours indeed.

I've seen this movie about five times over the years, and each time I forget how funny it isI remember I like it, but am surprised by how much I laugh out loud each time I watch it. Definitely one of Martin's best, yet it's interesting that this is NOT a movie people think of when they think of his best performances.
That's why the black & white episodes of "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Bewitched" were sexy, baby!

It's Steve Martin at his best! I rate this and The Jerk as his two best.

Me too, although I would also throw in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and The Lonely Guy as amongst his best as well.

I was so surprised to see this was only rated 6.2, it's much, much better than that. I saw this for the first time a few days ago and just love the way it never lets up the zany madness for its whole running time. Good stuff.

I've only seen a handful of films starred by Steve Martin but TMWTB has to be the best of them all. It's utterly silly and preposterous, and that's exactly why it works. This movie reminded me Young Frankenstein and some of the Monty Python sketches.
If you wanna spend 90 minutes of sheer fun silliness some boring sunday evening, this movie is for you.

'L.A. Story' is really good too.. He actually revives 'Pointy Birds' in that one.
