This was one of my guilty pleasures too, same with Summer Lovers. Maybe not great movies, but they stick with you when you see them in your early teens. Along with Michelle Johnson in this movie, others that made an impression on me were Sherilynn Fenn in Two Moon Junction, Phoebe Cates in Paradise, Kathleen Turner in Body Heat (which was actually a very good movie) and Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks. While they might have been good in other roles, they were perfect in these roles and that cannot be duplicated.
P.S. - I wanted to have her boobs too, but I'm certain not in the same way as you -

I agree. I watched "Blame it on Rio" on tv last night (Saturday night late night movie) and I was initially interested in the film at the beginning because I'm a Michael Caine fan (a consistently good actor). I had no idea what the film was about and where it was heading. Then Michelle Johnson was introduced and WOW, what an instant knockout! Each scene with her had me FLOORED. Damn, how I wish I was around in 1984 (FYI I was born in 1985 LOL). She is so beautiful, stunning, gorgeous and hot! What a body, what a person! She's all those positive adjectives and many more lol.
I had a cursory look at her profile on wikipedia and imdb and it's a real shame that she hasn't had any big roles or anything substantial throughout her career. In recent years (other than 2004's "Mickey") she has done nothing. It would be really good if we can see her again in something, especially well known. Come on, Hollywood, give her another shot!

yes now they have it on the reel channel, no HD, does not compare. two things I loved about this movie, Micheal Caine's reactions when he's so worried he will get caught, and michele's gazonga's.
they could not do this movie today, this is a sad fact. the 70's and early 80's were a golden age. my god, 17! as johnny carson used to say "I did not know that"
wait a minute, I"m watching this now, hd or no hd,her in that tight red tank top, it's good in non hd too!
I remember Mr. Spock, of star trek, saying "beauty is transitory doctor" but in michele's case, her stunning beauty will always be. for all time, in this movie -

What a beauty she was in that Rio!! So beautiful and gorgeous!! That body was just amazing! Perfectly cute face as well. She should have done more work in films. Michelle Johnson was one of the most beautiful women in the 80's.
