This movie is a total POS.
It's a shame they dumbed it down and made it PG. The first Conan movie is great, this one is like a kiddie version.
Seriously, the source material for Conan is great. They couldn't have picked a story out and faithfully made it into a movie instead of this family friendly PG crap? -

I gave Conan the Destroyer a 9 rating, and I gave Conan the Barbarian an 8 out of ten. I really love both films in their own right because they are both set up to be different viewing experiences. Barbarian is the "epic" of the two and the mood of it is much darker. Destroyer is more like a fun journey. A lot of people give Destroyer crap for this reason but like I said its a different viewing experience. The only reason Destroyer gets a point higher score is for me it has been an easier movie to sit down and enjoy. The Barbarian's run time is a tad too long in comparison. I did have both of them rated as an 8 at one time but I gotta give destroyer a 9 just because of its shorter run time.

yea i give it an 8 i liked it but the first was a lot better because i thought the second was more silly and the wrestling scene is so funny because it was so awful but it had its moments and i enjoyed it but i just thought the first was better

I think script wise it's a definite 6/10. Much more cartoonish than 'Conan The Barbarian' and there was an obvious attempt by the filmmakers to get the kids on board with this one. But that being said, it's a solid 9/10 in terms of entertainment. It's not terrible, and it's not greatbut it's a decent film in it's own right despite it's obvious problems.

8!?!!? lol this movie was absolutely awful. Compared to the first one this could be one of the worst movies made. It's campy and just really stupid (and NOT entertaining, liek the first one). And sorry I own over 1,000 dvd's and that doesn't make me an expert either (just like the OP) lol

While I like Barbarian. I would give this a 7. Its not great. But its not horrible like most claim. It seems nowadays if a movie doesn't have an emo protagonist sitting in a dark cave crying about his somewhat girlfriend then it can't be enjoyable or good. Really if this is the worst movie ever. You haven't seen enough movies. Ive seen far worse movies then this. I try to enjoy movies for what they are. Not bitch about what they are not.
