8!?!!? lol this movie was absolutely awful. Compared to the first one this could be one of the worst movies made. It's campy and just really stupid (and NOT entertaining, liek the first one). And sorry I own over 1,000 dvd's and that doesn't make me an expert either (just like the OP) lol

While I like Barbarian. I would give this a 7. Its not great. But its not horrible like most claim. It seems nowadays if a movie doesn't have an emo protagonist sitting in a dark cave crying about his somewhat girlfriend then it can't be enjoyable or good. Really if this is the worst movie ever. You haven't seen enough movies. Ive seen far worse movies then this. I try to enjoy movies for what they are. Not bitch about what they are not.

while 8 is probably realistically too high, I definitely agree, it should be more than 5.7, even 6.5 would be ok

I was extremely disappointed, but maybe it's because the original is my favorite movie of all time.
