when the mom repeats back everything jake said about sam to sam, what a narc. word for word too.. That was not cool of his waste of a mom to do to her own son

I disagree. They made no indication that he overheard it. I believe this was all to further demonstrate what a god awful mother she was and how she showed incredibly poor judgment

Do they have to spell everything out in black and white? You can come to your own conclusion, but as I pointed out, it only makes sense how it just further demonstrates what a bad mother she was. I watched this movie with a group of people and everybody came to the same conclusion I did, so it wasn't just me.
