I don't know. Your examples are contradictory. I don't consider Kenneth Williams to be anything like Jose Ferrer.
    Arnold Moss?

      Perfect diction and
      resounding
      bass voice.

So does Ferrer. And sometimes whiney,
Although by the 1960's he looked a lot different. Best known for the Star Trek episode,
        Conscience of the King.

Thanks but I just found it, when I looked at another not-so-obvious Christ tale:
            THE ROBE
            .
It's Jay Robinson, who played Caligula.

              Jay Robinson?

19 seconds. Which is what a fat guy gets after the first course.

He also played Caligula in the sequel, "Demetrius and the Gladiators". He ended up on the wrong end of a spear as I recall.

                        and
                        Aaaoh, thanks.
Since reading this comment on that sequal, it's just what I'm taking about.
Once you have seen this movie you will never ever forget Jay Robinson's performance as deranged but cunning Caligula.
."Demetrius" is in some ways superior to its predecessor "The Robe" -it lacks the ponderous religiosity, theres more action, and Caligula moves into centre stage.
So maybe that's the one I remember most.
