That part used to scare the crap out of me at the age of four when I first watched it. My brother and sister used to give me a bunch of crap when they showed that scene where she has the bug eyes!
It is however one of my favorite scenes in the movie along with the Tequila dance scene.
I loved that movie and still do after 22 years.

      hahaha oh god yes!
My sister, two cousins, and I would pause the VCR right when she made the face and run in and out of the room to see who could look at it the longest. Today it it totally ridiculous to me, but back then oh man almost peed my pants!

I wonder if any of you are my friend's little brother who screamed his head off at that scene when we saw it in the theater. I can't watch that scene without thinking about it - makes me laugh harder every time.

Hell yes! The scene after that when he finds out that she is a ghost from the truckers is creepy as well! Still gets me as an adult. The movie was all over the map in terms of humor and disturbing creepiness.

                      Wimps!
I was 3 when this movie came out, and when her face transfored it didn't scare me and my family, in fact, it made us laugh so damn hard, we now have a life-long memory of how our sides split. Since then, it's never really was much of anything, because I know what to expect. It never once scared me, in fact, I didn't even know anyone was scared of that scene until I came here today and all of you above got scared? Wimps!

Yes, it was one of those "skip past it" moments when I was a kid. I was aware that it was all played for laughs, but I still didn't like seeing it. I've seen way worse stuff in movies now, so it doesn't really bother me anymore.
