I wonder if any of you are my friend's little brother who screamed his head off at that scene when we saw it in the theater. I can't watch that scene without thinking about it - makes me laugh harder every time.

Hell yes! The scene after that when he finds out that she is a ghost from the truckers is creepy as well! Still gets me as an adult. The movie was all over the map in terms of humor and disturbing creepiness.

Wimps!
I was 3 when this movie came out, and when her face transfored it didn't scare me and my family, in fact, it made us laugh so damn hard, we now have a life-long memory of how our sides split. Since then, it's never really was much of anything, because I know what to expect. It never once scared me, in fact, I didn't even know anyone was scared of that scene until I came here today and all of you above got scared? Wimps! -

Yes, it was one of those "skip past it" moments when I was a kid. I was aware that it was all played for laughs, but I still didn't like seeing it. I've seen way worse stuff in movies now, so it doesn't really bother me anymore.
