When I was a youngster we used to walk into town and watch this on kinescope at the nickelodeon. 5 cents was a lot of money back then, but choosing between this movie and a loaf of bread was an easy choice. My Pa used to say, "You young whipper-snappers with your fancy doodad movie houses!" I don't think anybody in long pants would understand. I hope they show it at the 1904 World's Fair, when that gets here.

I absolutely loved this movie as a child, whereas E.T. just left me cold. I can't understand why E.T. is still revered while so many seem to have forgotten this classic from my childhood.

I'm 36 and saw this film first when I was 10 and even today it stacks up brilliantly.
The subject matter is more than just a sci-fi adventure too, I love how it covers David's emotional journey when his world is thrown upside down and he has to come to terms with his families collapse.
A very powerful and entertaining movie 🙂
Everyone is entitled to their opinion so try and act mature eh?

I've probably seen this movie more than E.T. Both are great movies, but there's something about Navigator that makes it just a bit more special. Maybe it's the time travel element.

Absolutely agree - a very entertaining movie with good acting and good special effects. 8 marks out of ten.

A Magical movie for all age groups,i really was in total sympathay with the lead character a great performance, the hallmark of a great movie to me is that you can always enjoy it when you return to it years later.

I first saw this film when my kids were kids and I still watch it when it comes on TV. It just feels hugely good natured and sometimes that's all you want from a film.
