I saw it in the theatre expecting it to be a great slightly more like the series movie after First Contact but was quite shocked and felt my heart sink when they began singing the HMS Pinafore stuff and thought oh boy!Plus to me it came off exactly how I described it previously that it was struggling to make up it's mind whether it is was going to be like a big budget episode or big action adventure. If you want to go with the TNG episode approach, fine! but do it with an intelligent TNG worthy script and with some good dialogue(Can't remeber watching a TNG movie and hoping for those wonderful eulogies from Picard)They could have done that, but throw in some very obvious continuity problems(mostly on the planet) and my movie experience was ruined.Combined with a race we should care for but we clearly don't because they come off as arrogant Amish who are selfish and obvious don't care enough about their own fate to even join the crew of Enterprise in fighting off the Son'a(an example of those Roddenberry premises that hurt the franchise).Of all the TNG movies that struggle to find the right balance Insurrection struggles the most.

While I got you here, Nexy, I have a question. You seem to be a huge fan of South Park. Remember that episode where Kenny, and Gerald are getting high of cat urine, and they go off into that fantasy world with that hot chick with the huge knockers? Is there an uncensored version of that episode, like where you see her boobs, or no?
RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great. -
