It was an average movie. OK but kind of dissapointing considering the talent of the director. I even liked Legend so I consider this his first low point for him. Thenagain Ridley Scott has had kind of an uneven career, although some great films. Anyone agrees?

I totally disagree, this wasn't a fantasy, it was a slasher movie

and I would say it is some of his best along with "Black Rain" and "Blade Runner"

This movie was a huge disappointment when it was released, and has aged very badly. The weakness in Ridley Scott's less-than-successfull movies like this one is casting. For instance, the "bad guy" in this movie was terrible. He took me completely out of the movie. Several of the other small roles of cops were played by actors who were either poorly directed or not very good. At some points it feels like a high school play. Then the big screen charisma of Lorraine Bracco, Mimi Robinson & Tom Berenger kicks in, and you feel like you are watching a big Hollywood movie again.
Very uneven movie, but not unwatchable.
P. S.
Why do I dislike posts that end with "anyone agree?" Who cares. If you are going to post on the internet, what do you want? A a pat on the head? I don't care if anyone in cyberspace agrees with me or not. It's not going to put a dime in my bank account or make it easier for me to sleep at night. Sayonara.
