Berkley sort of did but they just panned her for whatever reason and had a lot of haters cause she was from a teen show which doesnt make sense to me. I think they were truly jealous. I didnt see anything wrong with showgirls.
Yeah Elizabeth gave a good performance in showgirls. The film itself had a poor script. Whole film just cold and mean spirited.
Though they all had talent, it might've been connections, managers or something that they didnt care about that they didnt make it big.
It's a lot of things. Timing is another. Being typecast another. Mark-Paul seems very quiet and reserved in interviews. I bet he never wanted to become a star, probably would've made him uncomfortable. He's happy just acting and not vanishing into obscurity like Dustin Diamond and Lark Voorhies did after the show.

Yes that's the only reason the show worked. Characters had charisma, you rooted for them, they were fun to watch. Bad actors can't do that.

True. I think Mark-Paul is a more talented actor than most of the stars since the 90s, he just wasn't interested. He did a movie a few years ago with bruce willis, called Precious Cargo. He was very good in it.
The others could've been stars too. They were just unlucky.
I didnt want to bring this up cause I thought it would dwell off topic but I'm going to now. Mario when I was a kid did a movie about a famous olympic gay surfer. It was great. The movie was so memorable and I remember thinking. This was just the beginning. This guy is going to be huge

You're right, he could've been a big actor, but as I've said, I think the cast are happy just to be starring on shows or whatever, rather than having almost no acting career whatsoever like some of the other SBTB actors.
Also, films and tv changed drastically in the early 90s after SBTB ended. The quality became poorer, people who were stars in the 80s, the two coreys for example, suddenly became forgotten in favor of inferior actors. It's a good thing just to see the guys from SBTB still around and acting. Just because they never became movie stars doesn't mean they aren't good actors. -

I disagree. I actually really really like the script. At the time and in many films you didnt see people being so real like with it being about getting into dancing though in reality there is a lot of skankiness going on and it's almost like the same thing as stripping which is frown upon.
There was so many lines and acting I really enjoy in this film and take serious that I cant really **** on the script. So many had so many memorable performances of their careers.

I agree with this but I think they were so good in Saved By The Bell that they couldve done anything like for the show they were so multi-talented not just comedy, or romance but a vast majority of acting.
I think it's strange you say that about Mark-Paul because he seems so out there and such a great act as Zack. I actually wouldnt picture him like that and I've read some of the interviews but after the show and like I've said before I've lost a lot of respect for them and that includes him too.
I think the later vanished not out of choice but because for some stupid reason they werent casted and I blame that a part on the agent. I think screech is the only one who couldve been type casted but he wasnt even that. He was never given another shot and it's not like the actor didnt want it.
I for some reason really like Charasma. The 80s and 90s had a lot of them which is why I was literally glued on the tv for so long. Somehow after that in a good way I stopped being glued less and less but thats cause so many things sucked and nobody had charasma anymore. I think had they kept it the fun wouldve never ended and all from that era wouldve been billionares now. Will Smith for example. Though Will Transformed. I really did enjoy His Will Smith From The Fresh.
There are so many crap nowadays and mostly that could barely be watched once that is so successful that is really sad, cringe, and depressing. When I think of Saved by the bell even though I hate the aftermath I can always sit back and rewatch almost anything even if it sucks and have a really good time, learn, and reflect. I think that's a sign of greatness. I really think rewatchable stuff has a strong appeal even if it's not epic or great but Saved by the bell is so highly rewatchable. At many different times in my life I would watch like just one episode and be drawn to that episode and remember it and be emotional about it for awhile. I really liked it and it was highly influential in a good way and it criticized society in a good way and it was a made good feel show. So much crap nowadays no matter how high the ratings or much it makes doesnt have that.
Im surprised at times how short saved by the bell is because it felt a lot longer. The number of episodes. Sometimes I would watch ones Ive never seen. The first seasons without kelly werent as great. Still enjoyable but that era with her, ac, and the rest was just magic!

Showgirls is well made. The direction is outstanding. Verhoeven is a great director, all the way back to his Dutch movies. The script from Joe Ezsterhas is a bit wank, though. He couldn't write a likable character if his life depended on it.

Yes what happened to Diamond's career is unfair. He was a very good actor on the show, he clearly had talent, and deserved to get some good roles after SBTB like Mark, Tiffani, Mario and Elizabeth did. He didn't deserve to vanish like he did. Maybe he should've tried other things than being in new class, which sucked.

When you watch something good, be it TV show or film, it's because the writers, director and actors are all on the same page. There's nothing a show can do when all these things don't work. Things are crap nowadays because there simply are no talented writers, directors and especially actors anymore.

The reason why SBTB works is because the writing and directing are on song, and the actors, Mark-Paul especially, are very talented. It means you can come back to it time and again and it still fresh. It still works.

That is absolutely absurd that the guy thinks that Zack bullied screech. Unreal.
It's only bullying if screech is being victimized. When did Zack victimize Screech? Screech is a willing participant in everything Zack does. They're friends. He laughs it off when they rag on him, it's all playing around, nothing malicious. It's a different matter if screech gets upset, but he doesn't.

I understand what you are saying. I don't think you were a bully, you were just playing around. This stuff happens all the time when you're young. Don't worry about it. There's a fine line between playing around and bullying. The fact that you know that you meant no harm, it means you never bullied anybody.
Teachers have favorites. They will favor certain students over others, they will favor girls over boys etc. They can have agendas, and abuse their power. They can be a pain in the ass.

yea ac had the hair and the skin. I never thought he looked a 100% Hispanic. He might have some white in him. He looks a lot more white nowadays than the AC days which to me is a shame because we have a lot of people that look like that but nobody looks like AC which is a shame.

The intials AC couldve been anything but sounded cool and Slater just sounded like Slayer which went with him which was bad ass. Had he had some typical latin name it wouldnt have elevated him as much as a bad ass.
