You spend the whole Movie (all the way until the end when we finally see that ice pick) wondering what her real deal is and if she is in fact the Killer.
Basic Instinct was that rated NC-17 rating that almost got the film banned. I wasn't even supposed to watch it.
When I was able, I watched it..the first thing I admired about the plot was Catherine is revealed as the killer from the opening scene.
The rest of the movie has me confused. I saw her as the killer, all evidence pointed to her being the killer and yet I still didn't want Catherine to be the killer because she just did not fit the typical killer image when you see her in other scenes throughout the film. She never really loses her temper at all. She smiles, she doesn't seem to have any sexual problems at all. -

I disagree, I think it’s a cheat of a movie.
You watch it once, come away trying to put some of the pieces together of the red herrings presented, only to realise they don’t really fit and never meant too. It’s a con of a movie that really doesn’t hold up that well on repeat viewings because it lacks sharp intelligent layers and genuine suspense.
It was largely made for shock value and is phony.

Yet for whom is it popular and well known? There is an over-abundance of 7.5billion A-holes on this planet. Which ones of them are you referring too?
It might be known by a small minority of people too in the bigger scheme of things, but that doesn't mean they like it either. You are going by hype only and its suckered you in.

That guy always pulls us into never ending arguments on purpose. This what he does, he finds a way to contradict a sociably accepted fact about a movie, then argues with you. He gets nasty and insults you.

This is what you do but you are in denial of it due to your lack of self-awareness.
I am asking for one to look outside the box instead of having a one track tunneled vision.
Its twerps like you that assist in perpetuating all the establishment and institutional lies and deceit on this planet.

Its called discussion genius and for whom is this a socially accepted fact?
What is an accepted fact around here by many, that YOU ARE a triggered insult queen of spades.

Keep on dreamin' honey!
If I spent more time looking for good guys, rather than spending all my time running from the losers, I would be married. I could have married twice already. I chickened out. I have issues with making a commitment to someone. It's because I'm afraid the marriage will be ruined.
I'm a coward. Okay? There I admitted it. Happy now? -

What is this thing with marriage that is so darn important to people? It is an institutional conditioning and lemming dolts live for it, as though being lawfully married to someone makes them someone.
