It goes in spurts!
I do see what you mean.
That medicare commercial he did a while back… that sort of threw me.
I had to ask my husband if that was Kelsey Grammer. I wasn't quite sure of who that man in the commercial was. It sort of looked like him, but for a litlle while, I was wondering who that old guy was.
He actually doesn't look that terrible in the commercial, and it isn't as though I haven't seen him in other movies and shows since Frasier.
I think the problem lies with the fact that I'm use to all of these people as they were, because I am use to them in reruns. They remain forever young until I get a jolt and see them as they are today.
Hell! I avoid the mirror as much as possible these days. My heart can't take the shock!!!

I’m not sure what to make about a new Frasier show.
It was always an ok 7/10 show showed on channel 4 here along with friends. It was smarter than friends, but never great, nor as memorable.

It wasn't everyone's cup of tea. It did air for a long time though.
Many did like it, so it's safe to say it was a hit for a good reason.
Having been one of my favorite shows, I'll reserve judgement until I check the new one out. Sometimes, no matter how great the ensemble was, they just can't recapture the past magic in these reboots. They are going to need good writing… hopefully, as good as before. Hard to find these days.

I can remember having my doubts about it when it was announced that there was going to be a spinoff, but I can also remember thinking it was definitely a hit after watching the first episode.

There certainly is a strong resemblance, but I always felt there was.
Looking back at when Kelsey Grammer made his first appearance on Cheers, He resembled Pierce in the 90s. It's uncanny.

What do you mean?
Resemblance?
I do think that the interesting aspect is the father/sons relationships in this situation.
They are so different in every way, including looks…
The sons are all about academics, culture….
Dad is down to earth and sensible!
He doesn't put up with their ****. In many instances, he shows them the error of their ways.
Mom had to be somewhere is the middle.

I do too! He was wonderful in the role of Martin.
Looking at some of these then/now photos, I am amazed at how well some of these people have aged! Some have even improved with age!
