I totally agree, while it wasn't as in depth and well crafted as the first two (It'd be hard to top the second one!) I do think it was a polished, entertaining piece of action cinema.
There were some obvious flaws, like the absence of John Ashton and Ronnie Cox and murdering Gil Hils charcter Todd was a big mistake. His sporadic scenes were some of the best aned funniest in the series. I personally would like to have seen his character more involved rather than gunned down. I'm sure another motive for Axel returning to California could have been arranged.
But these flaws aside it's a film that I enjoy from time to time and is certainly better than the crap that pours out of Hollywood today!
Well, here's hoping Tony Scott and the whole cast return for BHCIV -

It was the worse in the franchise. Nothing about been a hater or what. I just re-watched the trilogy on DVD and the extras. From what i can gather, many scripts where bounded around. I liked the idea of both Judge and John going to London to apprehend a guy in London only to get stuck and have Eddie bail them out. The opening scenes where good but it began to fall apart as it progressed and the whole wonder world thing was not necessary.
This is coming from an Eddie fan
