I love it. I'm a Neil Young fan, but can't say I love or have even heard his whole massive catalog, but have my favorites. I felt the music was perfect for the film, unique to movies and haunting/evocative.

The soundtrack was excellent and I'm definitely gonna track it down, even though I've never had any of Neil Young's works despite being very familiar with his existence and general contributions to the music scene. As for the person who said the guitar riffs drowned out the dialogue, that literally did not happen for me at all. I watched the Blu-ray release so maybe the audio was mixed/mastered differently, but generally you must've listened to it on a subpar setup if that were the case.

Never been a fan of Neil Young, but this has to be one of the most unique soundtracks out there. The funny thing is, first I bought the cassette (mind you, it was ca. 1996) - simply because I was intrigued by the cover - and then watched the movie. It blew my mind and I still consider it one of the top three movies I've ever seen, currently holding number one.
When I switched to CDs, I sold the cassette on Discogs for 20 bucks as it turned out to be a precious collector's item. So check your drawers and cases - you never know what treasure you might find there.
