Dr. E, Leonardo DiCaprio is half Italian. That makes him half Latin. Not White. Who cares who he has sex scenes with in a movie? It's not as if he's going to be having sex with you. I was offended that his character was actually supposed to be atrracted to that crappy looking guy!

Leo isn't HALF Italian, he's 1/4. He's half GERMAN. Sohe's more white than Latin, sorry haha.
          p.s.
If you think I'm wrong, I can tell you that his grandfather was Italian, and both his parents are half German. So he's a little bit more than half.

This subject is closed. The man's name is LEONARDO DICAPRIO. End of discussion. I don't know any Germans with full Italian names. Italian people ARE Latin.

OK HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? you honestly DON'T believe he's german???? ITS A VERY STRONG GENE, i should know, im black and only like less than 1/4 German and i have really light skin, blonde hair, and green eyes. OKAY? HE IS GERMAN, wtf just because his first name is leonardo and his last name is dicaprio doesn't mean he isn't, and guess what his middle name is "WILHEM" !!! sounds PRETTY effing GERMAN TO ME.

I have OBVIOUSLY seen him. What a stupid question! Your caps don't scare me. Neither does your cursing. You're ignorant. I find it interesting of your claim that you're Black with strong German genes because you are light skinned, with blonde hair and green eyes. Have you traced ALL of your family's bloodline? Most likely not. NO ONE is my family is German, yet, my father has light skin and green eyes, my mother's eyes were blue. BOTH AFRICAN/CARIBBEAN people. African genes are very strong.I certainly did not read you mentioning THAT area of your lineage. What's your point?
The fact that Leonardo's middle name is Wilhem provides no proof of anything. My brother's middle name is Latin. My nice has a Gaelic name. Now what? Di Caprio is an ITALIAN name. How dumb can you really be? OBVIOUSLY Leonardo's father was at least Italian. His mother is German. Save yourself from posting any responses to me. I have no interest in you or your mindless babble. Your only reason for posting is to speak about your pride in light skin, blonde hair, green eyes and 1/4 German genes.STFU!

You're truly, truly pathetic. It's obvious you hate yourself. Listen at you rant and rave and use all the foul language. The fact that you wish me pain tonight is why you suffer daily and will for the remainer of your existence. I'm all for prozak. As for being afraid of you, NEVER! You're going to suffer even more and more daily because of your own stupidity and complete hatred. It's sooooo obvious you hate yourself. Read your own post. Your life is going to get much worse now. Wishing ill will on people unnecessarily only sends ill will to you. All those words you used to hurl at me are exactly what YOU are. You're a VERY disturbed, sick and twisted person. If the people treat you bad, GOOD! You're an ugly, hateful, hatefilled person. It's obvious that you're also an idiot. OOOOh as if using caps means anything.

and i mean that. gasp am i dead? NO. are you?? not yet.
but thanks, I did hate myself for reasons you can't conceive of. but you've made me appreciate my life because unlike you, I'm not an obese woman sitting infront of her Windows94 computer, crying about her pathetic life. I'm a 14 year old girl whose beautiful inside and out. I'm a humanitarian/vegetarian so don't tell me how cruel I am, becuz I'm the opposite. I'm sorry your life sucks, and I don't wish you pain because I don't even know you.
lets just end this becuz honestly I don't even care.

Latin is an ancient language that was introduced to the European continent by way of migrating tribes who came first to the Italian peninsula. Hence Latin is called an Italic language. (Not to be confused with the word Italian, btw).
In the western hemisphere of the earth there are the continents of North America and South America. Then there is this thin strip of land between the two called an isthmus that is technically part of North America, but has its own reference of "Central America". There is another term, "Latin America" that refers to Mexico, central America, the carribean islands, and South America combined.
People who live (or whose ancestors lived) in those areas called Latin America can consider themselves Latin. But Latino/Latina is used more often now; I suppose so as not be confused with the Latin language and it's European association.
                                Leo DiCaprio is not Latin.
If you should feel really happy, be patient. It will pass.

I agree that Paul (Thewlis) was a greasy, pastey, bone-thin drunk in this film. He was completely unattractive and unlikeable. When Paul and Arthur first kissed, I was like "Oh . . . poor Leo."

Rimbaud was not necessarily attracted just physically to Verlaine. He liked the fact that he weak-willed and could have a certain control over him, and he shared the passion for poetry.

agreed, i think this country (usa) makes people treat sex like a dirty secret shame that you're not supposed to look at discuss or even think about. it's sad, and it's probably the reason why this country is filled with sexual predators. i enjoy leo's early works very much

Yes I agree. Rimbaud would storm off every scene he had with Verlaine. He was very young when he met Verlaine.
