I didn't cry, but it was touching at the end. Nice, strong music, too.

Absolutely. I was 7 years old. I was never prepared for what was coming. I cried my freakin' eyes out. (I watched Lion King with pokerface one year earlier and to summarize it, never cried on any other movie before or after)

This has to be one of the biggest contrasts between the quality of an overall movie and the ending in history. The movie itself is just mediocre but the ending is beautiful. The combination of Edelman's score (how was it not nominated for an Oscar?) and Draco becoming part of the constellation that shares his name makes me cry every time. It's up there with ET, Edward Scissorhands and Iron Giant as far as tear jerking endings go.

I tried not to, but I had to make a choice. There was such a muscle convulsion between my shoulders and thighs that I had to choose between crying or throwing up. I don't think this has ever happened to me before. A very enthralling and draining experience.
The movie had so much joyful comedy that the ending just kinda broke yer heart, ya know? So I cried it out.
And then, my mind pictured, just for a few moments, Sean Connery going to the stars, and I completely lost all my composure and bawled my eyes out. Peter O'Toole was hard enough, but Sean? Dang.
What an interesting generation we are.

I did, although I stopped when I saw how it all resolved. Truly one of the best endings in film. I give the movie 5 stars.

Ya I did and yes music does help like in all movies. Try t watch the end of the return of the king without the music!

Yes. When Draco started disappearing I got a lump in my throat. When the music started I weeped like a babe.
