I hear a lot of people say it's QT's best. It's a great film but I do think it drags in some parts. The acting and direction is amazing as always in every Tarantino flick but as for execution and action, there really isn't much of it. I feel Tarantino's trademark dialogue is missing and the film could have easily been at least 2 hours instead of 2 and a half. Just how I've always felt. Solid movie and definitely his most mature.

No. This is QT's best film. The writing, the directing, editing, everything is purposeful and intelligent and damn near perfect. Samuel L. Jackson has never been better, and Pam Grier's character, Jackie Brown, is one of the best film antiheroes of the past 50 years. Pam Grier should have won an Oscar, imho.
And, I've read the book, as well. Big Elmore Leonard fan. This film is better. -

Yeah, it's overrated as i just finished re-watching it again just now and it's not as good for me nowadays as it used to be. it's got it's bits and pieces but overall it just don't hold my interest to a high enough level to warrant future re-watches and like i always say re-watch factor is what ultimately makes or breaks a movie in the long run.
5-5.5/10 (average/thumbs down)
QT's movies for me now
1.Pulp Fiction (1994) - 10/10
2.Reservoir Dogs (1992) - 9/10
3.Kill Bill Vol 2 (2004) - 8/10
4.Django Unchained (2012) - 7.5-8/10
5.Jackie Brown (1997) - 5-5.5/10 (Thumbs Down)
6.Kill Bill Vol1 (2003)
7.Inglourious Basterds (2009) - 4/10 (below average)
8.Death Proof (2007) - 3/10 MAX (failure and/or boring)
so in short only four of his movies are memorable now.My IMDb Movie Lists etc =

yes. You and forty dozen half-assed screenwriters/directors who ALL wish they could come up with something just FRACTIONALLY as compelling and well crafted as this one single effort by a great craftsman.

Overrated at the IMDb rating of 7,5 while the hollow, dull exercise in cinematic posing, Inglorious Basterds sits at 8,3? Yeah that makes sense. It's Tarantino's best film, but his fanboys always seem to gravitate towards his usual empty banter, depthless smartass characters and excessive gore.

4real jackie brown is one of his best. You can't be a real Tarantino fan and say that this is his worst movie.
