It's aged better than ANYTHING. Better than wine, better than cheese, I have never seen anything age as well as this film. We all should age as well. Johnny Depp hasn't aged as well as LA Confidential!

I'd say this movie has aged better than "Titanic", which won Best Picture over L.A. Confidential.

I just saw it for the first time ever and I thought it was awesome. As others have said, it was made already "dated" by decades, so the on-screen elements of the '50s felt no more out of place now than they would have in 1997.

I think it's a timeless classic. It takes place in a very specific time but the way it was made doesn't really scream '90s to me.

Just watched it, better than 95% crap you get to see nowadays, so i would say it could not age since cinema didnt move a bit forward since then.
But it does have few of those 90ties tropes like a big shootout near the end and having that cinematic reality feel where its not exactly realistic but not too cartoonish, but cant really blame it for it, its just that style of movie.

Savasmoviesit ways very racist back then where cops are concerned..same thing now,no different in 2014 with these rabid, racist cops against Blacks and Hispanics now. More things change the more they stay the same

yes it really hasnow its 2016 and I thought it was still awsome in every way, even the blood squibs are way better than todays lame CGI blood and wounds.

It hasn't aged at all. It's still great, definitely a classic. Which it was immadietaly in the first place when I watched back in 1997.

Yes. Just watched it again. Hard to believe next year will be the twentieth anniversary of it's premiere.
