    The Quiet (2005)
Following the death of her father, a teenage Dot moves into the home of her godparents and their teenage daughter Nina. Dot arrives wrapped up in the silence of being deaf-mute. She finds a different kind of silence waiting for her in her new home, for this home is a place with a dark secret involving Nina and her father (sexual). At first, Dot and Nina seem to be polar opposites. However, they gradually realize how much they have in common. Bringing them together catalyzes a series of events in which both reveal their secrets and shed their double lives. A violent consummation almost destroys them. Yet they find hope for the future in the quiet after the storm.
    damn good movie

This thread now has 39 pages. I don't have the courage to go through all those posts. But I have the impression many films that are being suggested do not fit the theme at all. I suppose, this being the Lolita board, that we're talking about older males obsesseed with nymphettes. To me that would disqualify a film like American Beauty. Mena Suvari can hardly be called a nymphette. Dis-moi oui has been mentioned, but JH Anglade is not in love with his very young patient although she's clearly infatuated with him. I have seen that Pretty baby has been mentioned, and Beau-pre. But the award of mother of nymphette movies should probably go to Noce blanche. I didn't see it mentioned, but I did not read everything. Look it up on imdb. Vanessa Paradis is not yet 15, goes full frontal and really destroys poor old Bruno Cremer, getting destroyed herself in the process.

The subject is simply films which have a noticable age difference between the lead male and the lead female with some sort of romantic feelings from at least one of the parties toward the other. There really isn't any criteria other than that. It started several years ago more for fun to see how many we could come up with and it kept on going. I sure didn't think it would ever get up to 39 pages.
Thank you for your recommendation for Noce blanche! I don't think it has been mentioned yet.

          The Lover
          Poison Ivy
Angel Blue- you can watch on youtube
Kama Sutra- a great film but it's only partly about teen adult realtionships, a man has known a girl since childhood and wants to marry her. Don't let the name confuse you it's not very sexual but more sensual. you can also watch this on youtube

Crazy Heart (2009). Bad Blake is a legend in the world of country music. He is now 57 years old, and has been abusing his body with tobacco and alcohol to the extent that his health and his career are literally at a "dead-end." He has been religated to playing any gig in any town he can get just to make ends meet financially. During one of his gigs in a small-town he is approached for an interview by Jean Craddock, a reporter for the town's newspaper. Bad agrees to the interview and although it's pretty hard not to notice Bad's dysfunctional life, Jean,a single mother in her early thirties, still finds an attraction toward him and the two begin a relationship.
Don't want to tell you how the relationship ends, but this is an excellent film about the devistating, far-reaching effects alcohol can play in people's lives as well as the pain of starting over.
59 year-old Jeff Bridges won this year's Oscar for Best Actor for his performance as Bad Blake. 32 year-old Maggie Cyllenhoal was nominated for an Academy Award as Jean Craddock. The film also won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Lady Libertine or Frank and I (1984). Based on the Victorian novel, 35 year-old English aristocrat Charles Beaumont is returning to his home when he meets a 15 year old boy named Frank walking on the road. Charles stops to speak with Frank and notices right off the bat from Frank's educated speech and manners that he is not the common stable boy he claims to be. Thinking Frank is probably a runaway from a well-to-do family Charles takes Frank home with him hoping to get Frank to be honest so that he can return him to his family. Instead Charles learns that while Frank is, indeed, the orphan he claims to be, "Frank" is really 16 year-old Frances who had escaped a brothel when Charles found her on the road. Although Charles has a mistress in London, he finds himself drawn more and more toward Frances, who does not realize that Charles has discovered she is not really a boy.
I can find no birth date for either Christopher Pearson who played Charles or Jennifer Inch who played the part of Frances although both look to be about the age of the character they play. 21 year-old Sophie Tucker played the part of Maud, Charles mistress.

The Snow Walker (2003)The film is set in 1953. 32 year-old Charlie Halliday is a bush pilot in the Alaskan Tundra. A bomber pilot in the Second World War, memories of the war continue to haunt Charlie to the extent that he has become an angry, uncaring, and deeply flawed individual. While Charlie is delivering supplies in an isolated area he is approched by a family of Inuit Indians who need their sick 19 year-old daughter, Kanaalag transported to a hospital. Charlie, who holds racial bigotry toward the Inuit people couldn't care less whether the girl lives or dies but agrees to take her in exchange for some ivory.
During the trip back the plane goes down hundreds of miles from the nearest town. When Charlie realizes that no rescue is coming he and Kanaalag begin the trip back on their own. Although Charlie doesn't stand a snowball's chance of surviving in this environment, Kanaalag is in her own element knowing well how to survive in the wilderness.Suddenly Charlie and Kanaalag's roles have been reversed with Charlie's life now in Kanaalg's hands.
This film is highly symbolic and making his way back to civilization has more than one meaning for the character of Charlie. During the time he is with Kanaalag he slowly begins escape from the embittered person he had become into a decent human being who learns to not only get back his humanity but to love someone else above himself.
This is a gem of a little-known film. 33 year-old Barry Pepper starred as Charlie. 20 year-old Annabella Plugattuk played opposite as Kanaalag.

There's a theme in a lot of Catherine Cookson adaptations of a man befriending a young girl and as soon as she comes of age they get it together.
Off the top of my head:
                        The Rag Nymph
                        The Secret
                        The Glass Virgin
                        The Girl
                        Colour Blind
                        Tilly Trotter (My fave)
I'd definitely recommend looking them up, they're really good films.

"10" (1979). George has just passed his 42nd birthday and finds himself struggling with a mid-life crisis. While stopped at an intersection he notices the limo that pulls up in the lane next to him is carrying a young bride to her wedding. George is immediately smitten thinking the young woman is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. On an impulse he follows her to the church and watches her get married. After the ceremony is over George becomes obsessed with the desire to meet this young bride and upon discovering where the couple will be honeymooning he follows them to the same hotel looking for an opportunity to introduce himself to Jenny, the young bride who has now come to represent to George a means of reliving his youth.
44 year-old Dudley Moore starred as George and 22 year-old Bo Derek played Jenny. When this film came out it was not only a huge hit, but it made Bo Derek a household name. Ironically, Bo Derek was married to actor/director John Derek who was 30 years her senior. They married when Bo was 19 and John was 49. The marriage lasted 22 years ending when John died from heart disease in 1998.
