One incident should not label all soldiers in the same light. That would be akin to stating that all Arabs are terrorists. Speaking as a Veteran of the US Army, I find it repulsive for a soldier to behave in that manner.

They had an episode on Oprah where they had female soldiers, marines. & apparently the women are told from the get-go to be on the pill whether they are sexually active or not because sooner or later they will be raped by their male peers. Apparently this is common among American marines, the females are raped & their superiors look the other way & threaten or intimidate those who come forward.

Hey Einstein, here's a clue: It's just a movie. Some people grab any excuse to bash America and ignore the other things around them. Are you really worried about the plight of the Iraqi women? Have you ever done anything to help them? Or are you just grabbing some flimsy excuse to lash out?
There are far too many American soldiers to generalize them into a single category when discussing their temperment or predilection towards illegal activities! -

I am not Einstein and do not generalize american soldiers in one or more category but I am talking about some thing of the reality cuase I am Iraqi and we do not have to deal with their disturbed temperment or predilection about normal thing!

If you're Iraqi, then answer the question. What have you personally done to protect your women or even to advance their right to be autonomous in your country? Furthermore, I am sure the average Iraqi woman is in no more danger of being raped now than before America's presence in Iraq. Sadam's sons alone should have been a threat to their security!

Probably not a good idea to identify yourself as an Iraqi and try and throw stones at the US military on the issue of rape.
I'm in Iraq now, and one of the issues here now is Iraqi men raping Iraqi women. Iraqi men feel perfectly free to rape a woman out alone in an Iraqi man's mind, it's her fault for going out without a male relative to escort her, and if she has no male relative, then she's up for grabs.
Insult to injury, the man isn't held accountable, it's the woman who is to be killed by a male relative as an 'honor killing' for allowing herself to be raped. -

y'all do know this movie was made in late 90's rightI believe in 1999ya know 2 years before 9/114 years before Desert Storm 2..but I do see your pointyes it does give some Soldiers bad names..(note..anyone else, past or present miltary, notice all the baddies were officersjust a thought.)
Look would everyone stop with the whole bashing each other sideremember both parties are being fed one side of the storythus how it sucks that the US media focus on the negitives that our Marines and soldiers do.I'd like to post a few things about them but this site won't allow it.
Case in pointI believe it was in October of 04..there was a First Sergeant in the Army at is base in Iraq..(long time ago, facts are a bit blury) anyhow he was taking some time of duty watching some of the enlisted play a friendly game of basketballnow what happened was that a gernade landed near the soldiers playing..the First Sergeant ran and dove on the gernade taking the full force of the blast..thus killing him but saving the lives of the soldiers around himnow out of the thousands of papers, hundreds of news stations in the USonly One Station and One paper covered the story his home town.
Can't remember who said it.but " Your convicted of a serious crimeyour on page 1Your found not guilty of that crime they bury it on page 8. -

Soldiers are in a rude business.
Sometimes they crack & do bad things when they are repeatedly, over-used, and mis-used. (not properly trained for roles they are forced into, by the secure, Washington top elected officials, bureaucrats, & professor types, [most who have never served in uniform] geniuses.)
Isn't it a damn shame when G.I.s offend the sensibilities of "polite" society. -

Rude my God (or is it Allah not to offend anyone's sensibilities)!!! I'm sorry, but they have a job to do and don't have time to be courteous to their enemies and in Iraq no one wears a Nazi or Japanese uniform to distinguish them from innocent civilians
