Well, firstly I meant ghost not good. Secondly, I think your taking my comment a little too personally. We have different opinions. It's cool. I'm sorry if it seemed I was saying your opinion was wrong b/c it was different than mine. On the real though, saying this movie is a masterpiece is a little too much credit.

I didn't mean to sound offended, why would I be. I am not the director nor is this my favorite movie. Saying what you first said about the movie takes a lot of arguments to back it upSo putting that to the side, really honestly, without any agenda, I would like to hear movies that you think are superior in that psychological thriller/horror without supernatural elements area.
Mine is Shutter Island for example. -

These aren't in any particular order.
martyrs, shutter island, black swan, memento, the strangers
killer joe, audition, transsiberian, primal fear, frailty, identity, funny games
unbreakable, bug, seven, the machinist, requiem for a dream, mr brooks, donnie darko, 12 monkeys, primer, oldboy, the prestige, the fly, american psycho, cape fear, the manchurian candidate, silence of the lambs, throw momma from the train
rear window, strangers on a train, psycho, soylent green, the lawnmower man, sucker punch, inception, vanilla sky, scanners, fight club, straw dogs, and I could name a few more. -

You find these movies scary? Wow. It looks like it doesn't take much to scare you. -

I suspect all the muppets who think this movie is bad, just love cookie cutter rubbish like 'the conjuring' because they dont have the mental capacity to appreciate quality psychological horror, and require the direct stimulation of silly boo scares and demons running around etc.
Session 9 is a psychological masterpiece. You claim the cinematography is poor when that is one of the strengths that give it just a creepy authentic feel, rather than the typical slick hollywood movie studio look most movies present that most muppets like because it 'looks nice'. You just totally miss the point. Stick to Katie Perry. -

You suspect wrong. And, even if those muppets do like cookie cutter rubish it does't mean they don't have the mental capacity to understand or appreciate psychological horror, it might just mean they don't like that specific genre. I should have said editing and cinematography. After reading my past posts I realized I'd left that out. The editing was more my problem, though I still think the cinematography was poor. Have you seen Martha Marcy May Marlene? In my opinion they got it right. I don't miss the point. I see the point and I don't like it. Like I said many times before though, that is my opinion, what I personally think. You and vojkan087 don't agree and that's fine. I enjoy a good back and forth and learning about other peoples perspectives. But, don't think you're opinion is superior to mine or anyone else. They're opinions after all. There is no right or wrong. Just ignorant muppets who think there are.

Listen up now bud.. No need to start crying because somebody doesn't like the movie. Good god you sure are angry. I myself LOVED the conjuring.. Because it was a great movie that explained itself and while it did tell you enough about the story it didn't spoon feed you every little thing. But that's a totally different type of movie. That's a demon possession movie, this is as you've already stated.. A psychological horror film, so i don't know what that has to do with being a "muppet". So yes this film does leave many things to the viewer's interpretation, as most psychological horror films do. But it seems as if it lacks a strong story. So before you start getting mad and calling me a muppet hear me out. I did enjoy this movie. It has a good atmosphere. It has decent acting, dialogue and lighting (mainly all natural lighting was used) and doesn't spoon feed the story to you. BUT it also does not give you enough story! I felt with just a few sentences strategically placed here and there the story could have gotten the message across in a more clear way. But all in all I do agree that there are a select few who aren't exactly capable of fully understanding this movie, BUT that's no reason to start shooting off your mouth basically calling people idiots just because they didn't get the movie.

The movie seems like it was made on a forty dollar budget. It seemed very confused and a jumbled mess. I have it a 4 out of 10 for effort and concept and it probably could have been better with a bigger budget and better directing.
