In hell, you're given all the Firefly seasons and Serenity trilogy on Blu-ray as well.
Then you spend eternity looking for a working player.
That must be the very special level of hell. The one they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theatre.
Aliens? Us? Is this one of your Earth jokes?

I like to think that in Heaven, they have all ten seasons of Firefly and the entire Serenity trilogy on Blu-ray.
Lets all be the good guys then, so we can get into heaven and watch that !!!
You shall have no other Kates before Kate Winslet. -

Couldn't agree more, one of the best SciFi TV shows ever made. I appreciated the subsequent film Serenity coming along to wind up the stories as best they could, but it was something of a dressing on an amputation. Great characters, each with great storylines. I just don't know about some of these TV execs who make these decisions if they're paid more than ten dollars a week (and I suspect they are) they're not worth it.
Fortytwo? FortyTwo? what sort of puerile, pathetic, stupid answer is that? Everyone knows it's 43. -

It's like ending LOST or Breaking Bad after first season. Ending a show like that, It should be a crime and these people must punished.
As I understand canceling show is some political stuff.
But whay they continue as later or agree with an another Channel.
Ahhh, this will be a shame for every responsible men forever. -

I also just rewatched for, as you say, at LEAST the twentieth time and I couldn't agree morebest show ever. I actually caught a line I've never really heard before, something dropped in so naturally, it has just gone unnoticedsomething that the character would just say in passingTHAT is the brilliance, these amazing, flawed, complex characters who we know as if they were real to us. Because they are.
It was finally everything Whedon deservedhis amazing vision and writing paired with a cast that never let him down for one scene or one line. What he didn't deserve was being aired on a network that didn't understand what they had. They ruined Firefly and then turned around and did an equal disservice to Dollhouse. Sigh. -

I put off watching this show because it didn't think it would be very good. I am finally watching it and I was completely wrong. I am just 3 episodes in and I think this has got to be one of the best sci-fi shows ever made for all the reasons you stated. I am easily pulled into the story and am thoroughly entertained. Before I know it the episode comes to an end. Very well written, directed and acted.

I just rewatched the series for the twentieth time or so and I'm still completely blown away by it. No other series comes to my mind which provides such a complex, yet believable world and such incredibly deep and fascinating characters after just 14 episodes. It easily challenges every other science fiction series out there for the title G.O.A.T. Its cancellation is probably the biggest shame in TV history and everybody even remotely responsible for this deserves to be fired instantly and to be banned from TV and movie industries for all eternity!
Couldn't agree more.
The attention to detail in Firefly is superb.

I've watched the series over and over, more times than I can count. Used to catch lines that I missed. Not so much anymore, but I can still catch meanings that I missed before. Example: Rewatching Trash River keeps talking about how they can't trust "her" and makes several references. Jayne says can't trust any woman and River says that Jayne is a girls name. Seemed like just a funny jab at Jayne at first. Now I realize that she was talking about Jayne all along when she said "her".

Yes I agree too. In fact I noticed that on an episode of Big Bang Theory (not that I watch it often), I think it was Sheldon was talking about the dreadful decisions that had been made in history, and they all agreed the axing of Firefly was one of them.
