I watched it in college legally one of my friends at the time ordered it offline and we watched it in his dormroom. (we lived on the same floor) needless to say I was afraid to take a shower after watching it! the movie scared us silly.

Austin, Texas has an awesome local video store (vulcan video) that carries every incarnation of Ju-on.they even have a J-Horror section!

On televison- it's on Fearnet right now (so is Ju-On 2).
I liked it a lot. The stair scene with Kayako was really creepy.

Saw the amercian remake first at the movies, rented Juon2 on DVD, then purchased the original Juon and Juon 2 on DVD. Yeah I saw them in all the wrong order! still kicks ass though. Juon 2 is the clear winner to btw.
