Is it really a biopic though? It's just four years of the life of Capote hardly what I'd call a true biopic of the man. They may be the most interesting years but you learn nothing about the rest of his life before or after.

Yes. I would have loved to see a sequel with PSH showing the demise of Capote. He never wrote another book after "In Cold Blood", because it took so much out of him. I think Hoffman would have been brilliant in that story as well.

Well it helps that it's not at all a biopic. It's a real person-centered drama.
It offers but a glimpse of Truman Capote and I still prefer Infamous even though PSH was amazing.
