But they went with Billie Ellish in the Bridgerton episode (The Bridgerton episode!).
Has anyone ever told you that Shooty is gay and black Bobby?
I know that the 15th Doctor is black and gay because they had that episode which told us that we were all racists and then we had WHAT THE BRIDGERTON!!! where the Doctor met Rogue.

I'm just glad that the BBC chose to portray a black gay Rwandan man as a genocidal maniac. I didn't think they had it in them
And to chose a man who was but a boy of 2 when all of that was going down and between McCoy's planet of the Cheetah people and McGann's entrance as The Doctor too
I thought Chinballs was taking it too far with the whole Kashmir thing but RTD just stood up and said "Hold my Appletini!" and waded in like Idi Amin (Granted, that was Uganda - but still! I wasn't going to bring Hotel Rwanda into it
David Tennant was the Doctor again prior to Shooty and so a King of Scotland reference is more on point).
Well I'm glad that RTD has shown that he is NOT racist or HOMOPHOBIC by picking a migrant child fleeing a genocide as the one who thought they destroyed all the Time Lords and Daleks by making that happen

Well I’m not really bothered about all of that as I’m trying to keep my blood pressure down. I just want Russell to give us some good entertaining Who and put it back at the forefront of popular culture as he promised he would. Every time I go somewhere in the UK with tourists be it Liverpool, York and the capital itself I see Harry Potter, The Beatles and even Peaky Blinders being pushed with merch but no Doctor Who, not these days. Russell is failing us in the only way which matters to me.

And we need to be reminded about all of that every single time they are on screen. To not do it is all the bad things. Let's smother all these great actors with pointing out their place of birth, skin tone and sexuality (Gender too if they have one!)
The only way to progress is to point out differences from how people were 100 years ago and never let up on it
And t-shirts and merch for people lke you to buy to Bobby

He tried to establish that shore wearing down rocks thing, that could go somewhere if mapped out properly. What he needs is to get off his multiple franchise ideas and back to Who alone. Be the overall showrunner but give Who to someone who only has to think about Who, everyone else has to limit themselves to that being the central point.
But his hubris is too much and he's thinking he's unstoppable and so let the lesson be learned. We always have our fanfictions (And to be honest, most of the best story that make it to film are written by former fan ficcers!)

That was a silly episode with that big giant Cyberman but I liked it and found it to be a fun Christmas romp all the same. Anyway they used to say the same rubbish with the old Star Wars expanded universe once more filmed Star Wars started coming out ‘nnnyyyeeehhh it’s still canon until George does summat else!’. They’re saying it again now with new canon because they can’t keep it straight.
