Midnight is a bit touch and go for me Bobby. It's a Friday, I'm not doubt a few sheets to the wind by then and then there's the idea of watching a TV show which might not be up to scratch.
That's probably exactly how I tolerated the last two episodes come to think of it!
This one looks nice and bright and metalayered with bubbles and personal zones and stuff and so I think I might enjoy it. Like the Happiness Patrol stuff, but without Bertie Bassett and instead Pinky Punky
And my girl Ellie is away on holiday just now (It seems) and so she wont be doing a reaction straight away and so I get a bit more time to relax. It might very well be a coffee and croissant effort in the morning (Maybe some soldiers and fruit too!) letting me take the grind off watching these stupid midnight releases that nobody in the US is watching
So, as always, I don't know
You got a shift on tomorrow or do you think you could push through and see Pinky Punky in person?

Well that’s a bit badly timed of Ellie isn’t it?! Having a holiday right slap bang in the middle of the Doctor Who season?!! What kind of Doctor Who reviewer does that?!!
I do have a shift on tomorrow but it is a late shift so that means that I don’t start until quarter past 2 in the afternoon, so I’ll probably be stopping up for a bit and maybe having a couple of drinks myself.

Bum Boy McBumerson is the Irish fellah that pretends he likes Star Trek and Doctor Who Bobby.
He just wants money and access and while there is a little of that in Ellie I know she actually cares about the quality of the story a little more

Next week Susan Twist is playing a character called The Portrait.. How is that possible Bobby?

It was fantastic wasn’t it, Siggy!! A proper Black Mirror type episode with a twist at the end and the twist WAS….
They don’t like black people. I didn’t see that when I watched it as maybe I’m a bit dumb…but apparently that’s what they were saying…
Maybe I just never even considered that being a possibility what with it being set so far in the future and all…

I suppose if people see The Doctor as black, gay and whatever the BBC tell them that he is then fair enough, that's on the BBC and them - not us
The Doctor could have two heads and no nose (As Eccles cake joked) and it wouldn't make a difference. I mean the fact that he looks human is nice because we all do but if he didn't for a bit then I think most people would be OK with it if the stories were still worth following.
I really didn't see the whole black thing at all until you mentioned it, but every other episode has had loads of black and Asian descent folk in it and so it must be the push on the BBC to get folk thinking like that - which isn't surprising coming from the BBC and their whole too many white people stuff from this time last year.
Shame, but that's racism for you!
I'm watching it a second time just now. But I know Lindsey is a baddie now, so that bullet (Which could have killed any of them the whole time) is just bidding its time

I didn't hate Lindsey as much, because she had slightly broken her mould, but I still didn't like it because there must have been ways for The Doctor and Rubi to get through.
Even taking the Tardis to where it was and then working their way up and breaking the door from the other side or whatever.
I think it was a political piece, which is nice, but didn't get the racism part until you mentioned it and it seems that Rubi did during the show (Something I missed first time around) and so I think it was certainly meant to be there.
As an episode it was great, but add the racism in and it was all at the end and a bit ****tily done Bobby, and not needed because you would still extrapolate that is you wanted without the Rubi throwing a thrombo part

I thought the girl that played Lindsey did a good job of acting spoilt, particularly with the camera up in her face so much. Like if Tony Stark was a girl and not a hero
Make sure Ricky doesn't find himself visiting woodlice, they're everywhere and probably the inspiration for the notion of the bad guys that the A.I. created instead of just bulleting everyone in the head with the dots.
