Has Moffat ruined Doctor Who?

I can see no potential from Doctor Who except to continue wheeling out the Daleks and producing Christmas specials of no real interest.
And as a long life fan I no longer have any interest in either.
And it would appear that the declining ratings has proven that many people are losing interest in the series as well.
If Chibnal fails to fix the show then cancellation "hiatus" is inevitable! -

And thank God for that seriously!!!!! Who in their right mind would sit through an hour of an old man talking rubbish and pulling faces, that's not intellectually entertaining at all - especially these days don't Brits have better things to do and watch, honestly. -

I ask, what does "ruined" even mean in this context?
What does "fix" mean?
What's the point in starting a thread if you're going to ignore every point made except by those who agree with you?

"Ruining" in the context of art is a very subjective and nebulous term.
Based on popularity, the show does pretty well, which indicate success and a by-the-numbers a result of the cast and crew doing the right things.
Based on the technical aspects, such as acting, scripting, post-production, etc., they also seem to do a good job, with caveats, at times.
What you are referring to, in your post, seem to be the overall direction and storytelling, which fall under the artistic aspect, and like every form of art, it's entirely subjective, with a portion of it having an objective metrics that can be applied.
I agree with much of your post about the weird production decisions, but not with labeling it as Moffat, "ruining the show." Instead, I would point to a larger issue that Moffat had to work with and around - the show has no official canon. There is no order of events, no constants, and the main character does not change or grow (even if every few years they activate the "Doctor Generator" to create a random character that has random attributes and behaviors).
The result of which, is that everything is permitted, any actor (or actress) can play the part, and there is no right or wrong, and the only metric of quality is if it works or not. As a viewer, you can decide if you want to continue watching the show and your free to criticize and point to the flaws. -

My PBS station shows the Tom Baker episodes.
Watching them makes me remember when Doctor Who was at its best storywise. And how I miss the way it used to be with the companions.
Imagine Tom Baker's Doctor having to have his memory wiped because he lost a companion. For that matter..imagine

I miss when companions weren't young women from current Earth with their romantic partner.
Though I do think Capaldi's the best thing about Moffat's era. I look forward to Capaldi being under a different showrunner if he stays on. -

And ultimately lethal to the show, which will inevitably be cancelled again, with next time being a re-imagining of the show. An Unearthly Child Mark II, with nothing less being adequate.
