Did Alice infect Don on purpose?

From reading the FAQ it's speculated that Alice survived because the Infected identified her scent as being alike to their own and so they didn't attack her. It's possible that she thought Don would be the same and didn't realize her mistake until the last couple of seconds.

I think you might be correct. That would explain why her look went from a smirk to one of horror. -

I first viewing I thought so. On second viewing I don't think so. She wouldn't be thinking about infection/carrier. She wasn't a medical person. Only then when he was visiting did the doctor reveal her blood and saliva held the virus and she could infect. When he kissed her she passed it on. The seeming numbness of her looking at him was the basic shellshock. It took a while for her to become afraid and realize that he was infected and about to kill her.

I thought so at first, but come to think of it, did she even know she was infected? Even if she had been bitten, I don't know if she had the medical knowledge to realise she was immune but essentially a carrier, and that anyone she came into too close contact with would develop the Rage.

She didnt know she was infected. From her point of view, she wasnt acting like an infected, and she hadn't been bitten in months, so she thought she was safe. I dunno if she wanted to kiss him, but she was so in shock, that she probably didnt even think of the fact she might be a carrier or that the virus could transfer through saliva.

My question iswhy didnt the infected that were orginally in the room with her do the same as her husband did to her? -

I agree, wife didn't know she was going to infect husband. The doctors hadn't told her yet (if they were even going to, before the General shoots her!).
As for why the infected didn't do to here what her husband did These monsters apparently just want to kill, however that happens, whether punching, biting, or even using a weapon (like Don did on poor Scarlet), usually after they hurl on them, ha. Obviously sometimes they let up or get distracted and don't finish the job, or the victim manages to get away till they change themselves, 40 seconds later.
Scary stuff!
