So far the investigations, from what they have shared, are not turning up a motive.
We just may never get one.
I think a motive for getting rid of Trump, either shooting or not allowing him to win, is a couple of reasons.- He is a threat to the status quo by being an outsider who doesn't always play the game of corporate politics such as not starting new wars.
- He is a liar, crook, conman who is also a racist asshole that let Covid get out of control.
After the shooting Biden did suspend negative, attack ads towards Trump.
You think Trump would have done that for Biden if he had gotten shot?
Doubtful.
Trump likes to rub it in when his opponents suffer.

Maybe a week or two.
It will be interesting to see if either or both change their campaign tactics by not attacking the other.
Though between the two I would expect Biden to do that and not Trump.

Trump is caustic, and sometimes says outrageous things, but he is a good man. He's a real estate tycoon, and they deal in hyperbole.
As to how long the caustic ads will be pulled, I predict no more than one week on either side. Biden HAS to use them, because
he has nothing else.
He can't run on his record or his physical and mental condition, cause they're both terrible.
Trump:
a tough, shrewd businessman, and a success as President.
Biden:
a lifetime member of the swamp, and
a total failure as President.
He's also a
demented old geezer
who is not capable of being president for the next
four months
, let alone the next four years.
And Trump is going to win
in a landslide.

What happened to Donald Trump is only 1 person's fault and that person is the 20 year old freakshow that tried to assassinate him. I am really glad that the Secret Service was able to shoot him down.
I myself am a Democrat and I do not like or respect Trump at all but I still would never wish for anything like what happened to him to happen to him. I am glad that Trump is okay and as I said, I am really glad that the shooter was shot down.
