If these five had a round-robin tournament, who would come out on top?

I agree with Mercury4. Maon Dixon would have easily lost against a young Rocky Balboa. And I know without a doubt that Drago would have killed him like he did Apollo. Also in the deleted scenes, they originally had Rocky as the winner of the Dixon fight. It was so great to see this movie. I would have paid much more for a ticket to the box office for Rocky Balboa. Thank You Sly.

1 - Apollo Creed (In his prime) - Balanced, modelled after Muhammed Ali
2 - Ivan Dragon (On Steroids) - He's basically a powered up version of Clubber Lang but with less boxing experience or determination (His physical attributes compensate for this)
3 - Clubber Lang
4 - Apollo Creed (Rocky I-IV)
5 - Tommy Gunn - Basically a '(very) Young Rocky' but without the strength of character
6 - Dixon - 60 year old rocky took him to the limit but he's richer for the experience.
7 - Ivan Dragon (No Steroids) - Not enough experience, nothing special without the power -

Apollo Creed. Come on, he was the movie version of Ali. He was quick, good reach and seemed to have a strategy on how to beat his opponents.
Also, the SOUNDS when they're hitting each other in Rocky IV are absurd. They're shotgun sounds so when Drago is hitting Apollo (or Rocky), it sounds more horryfing than it does when Apollo hits Rocky in II. If Apollo from Rocky II faced off against Drago, Apollo would win. He would use his quickness and fast speed to stick-and-move and tire Drago down. When Rocky is facing Drago in IV, he just STANDS there! He doesn't block or try to dance away (like he was taught in III), he just stands there and take it.
No doubt, Apollo is the best fighter in the movie series.
Of course, in REAL LIFE, Anthony Tarver could kick their asses any day of the week but that was not the question. -

LOLWUT?
Dixon would smack Gunna around the ring until he cried like a bitch.
and his chances with Lang are 50/50 too. Don't write him off because he was portrayed as a softie.

"By the way, Apollo was at his peak when he fought Drago. He said it himself"
He wasnt at his peak when he said this you fool. Those are the words of a man who is way past his best, trying to convince himself and the world that he still has the tools to do the job.
At his peak Apollo wins by decision. Drago wouldnt get near him - Remember, the Apollo character was based on Ali. Im guessing that the Drago charcter was more in line with George Foreman! -

Given the criteria of a Round Robin formatIn their prime, the results would come out like this IMO:
Apollo 3-1 (Is the best overall fighter in his prime, but he still loses to Drago. Takes him the distance and is leading on points before a KO by Drago in the 15th)
Drago 3-1 (His power is too much for all but Clubber who uses power and skill to take out Drago in the 15th with a TKO. Goes 15 rounds with both Apollo and Clubber, but easily takes out Gunn and Dixon in the 1st with vicious knockouts.)
Clubber 3-1 (Even though he is able to take down Drago with his combination of power and skill, he ultimately is outboxed by Apollo and is taken out in the 6th by him after tiring)
Dixon 1-3 (Outmatched by all but Gunn and did not look good doing it. Was able to take out Gunn in 8 rounds but that is not saying much.)
Gunn 0-4 (Does not belong in the ring with any of these guys, and was lucky to last even 8 rounds with Dixon. What do you expect from the guy that won the title from a paper champ that took a dive.) -

Clubber. It took a rematch for Rocky to beat him and he needed Apollo's training to help him recover his mental state. Plus he was a trash talker. And as real boxing remembers, the trash talkers and have charisma are considered the best. Look at Ali after all. There are more polished boxers but he is most remembered as the greatest. Only reason why I can't give it to Drago is because he takes steroids so of course he's going to have freakish power.

I think power of not, Drago obviously outreaches Clubber. He's young and naive but skilled. Clubber is just a powerhouse. Likes to put his opponents down in the primary rounds. I don't believe he would be able to do that to Drago because, odds are, Drago would hit harder than Clubber (not saying Clubber wouldn't make a dent in Drago though).
In terms of techinque and form, I'd give it to Apollo. He can be both headstrong and smart, interchangably utilizing both in the ring.
I also like to look at these opponents as contemporaries of one another. In many ways, you have:
Apollo>>>Dixon
Rocky>>>>Tommy Gunn
Drago>>>>>Clubber Lang
^^^^^^
That right there, to me, is how they are equivalent to one another. But there is one side (left side) that is clearly superior to the right side.

For me its Apollo..
Rocky beat Drago, Tommy, Lang and Dixon
He beats Apollo, but.. he lost his first fight with him and the second one well.. he won but won IN THE FINAL SECOND of the fight.. Apollo was so diffcult to Rocky and for that i think Apollo was the best.
BUT!! In a RR, between all these guys i think Drago would win the RR, even Apollo in his shape. -

In movie-land, Apollo would win by far. He is, to me at least, the most athletically gifted one about of the group, he seemed to be the most dominant for a longer period of time, and he of course beat Rocky at his youngest despite not taking him serious at all. Drago, of course, would be the scariest of the bunch, but him juicing up takes a lot points away from him. Plus, he seemed to have problems with Apollo in the opening moments of the first round before he actually caught Apollo. Not only that, but Creed also clearly underestimated him. If Apollo was in his prime, in tip-top shape, and took Drago very serious, there's not a dobut in my mind he would have won a UD or maybe even stop Drago late.
But in real life, I'd give it to Dixon because he's Antonio Tarver and would beep all of them up in the ring, even though he's smaller than all of them. Second would probably be Gunn, because he was somewhat legit (although highly overrated).
