This was a long wait. Just got out. Picked up tix at 12:30pm. Doors opened to sit at 3. First act started around 4pm for the pre-tape. We got our tix then had lunch and walked around until we could enter. It’s free admission although they don’t validate parking which is typically $18. And I was feeling generous and bought a CD from a street performer.

For the most part the show is live. But usually they pre tape one or two acts. The three times I went it was the aerialist kid. Maybe they do it in case he falls and dies. They wouldn’t want that to stream live lol

That was my theory too, about why they tape certain acts first. The show is on a delay anyway, but taping those types of acts early would give them more time to figure out what to do. I assume they wouldn't go on with the show if he died or had a bad injury.

I remember when owen Hart fell out of the sky and splattered all over the ring some 20 years ago live on PPV. The next match was The Rock vs HHH or Steve Austin, i don't remember, but what I do remember is they didn't even clean up the blood and they were slipping in it the entire time and acting disgusted.

Looks like they are doing a lot of prep before the show.
Like checking out lighting and effects on stage. Judges checking things out.
So is there any applause, cheering or cat calls going on at the judges? -

All the judges get cat calls and shout outs. Usually Simon gives a minute for pics and turns around and waves. Before taping starts the women can be seen finishing their makeup and checking their hair in front of everybody. Every once in a while throughput the show one of them will turn around and wave.

It was fun but the drive can be a nightmare. I just spent 45 minutes stuck in gridlock in the parking structure. And that was even before dealing with street traffic which was a nightmare. The $18 parking stings a bit too.
I really don’t know who is the front runner. I think the aerialist kid got the best and most compliments. I like the taekwando also. I can imagine both comedians striking a heartstring with the viewing audience The single mom comic is very relatable to a lot of people. -

Did you notice how short the quick change act was tonight?
I liked most of the performances tonight, but I think the aerialist should win. -

I thought Jerry's Kid was funnier and he did get louder laughs.
Plus his point about Botox was spot on, if true.
