Marvel's big weakness is villains.
They keep killing off every villain they could do anything with, and the villains themselves have been largely unimpressive with the singular exception of Loki. As awesome as "Winter Soldier"'s two main villains were, one is dead and one is no longer a villain.
Loki is the only villain who has been allowed to have a legitimate and complex character arc, spanning multiple films.
That is where Marvel is coming up short.
Fluoride does not prevent tooth decay. It does render teeth detectable by spy satellite -JL

That's in the "lame attack Marvel handbook" trolls seem to be handing out.
Marvel villains have mostly been superb and service each story perfectly. Case in point with Zemo in Civil War. Just wonderful.

It's not just DC. It's the WB in general. They are getting it handed to them as a movie studio. Marvel just does it way better.
