Django got 8.5 rating on IMDB, so how can you conclude not many enjoyed it?

The Lord of the Rings still rules, but this is up there.
The Avengers is a little better than The Matrix, because its absurdities are fun, while some of the stupid things in The Matrix are fun and good, but human beings as batteries kept purely for their electrical production is just stupid.

It was one of the most fun for sure but I've had some that were better. Seeing Jurassic Park twice back in 1993 when I was 6 was out of this world.

I was older than 6 but Jurassic Park was a blast to watch at the cinema. Are you going to the 3D IMAX re-release of it this year?

It was for me because I went to the marathon. Seeing it with a bunch of hard-core marvel fans that got every little joke was so enjoyable.

The Lord of the Rings was good but hardly thrilling. It was epic but in a massive bulky way.

Both times I saw this the cinema was pretty empty (lunchtime opening day and then the following saturday), so it wasnt really as much of an experience as it sounds like some of you had.
For me, the first time I saw TDK wins by a mile. It was my first time seeing a feature film in 70mm IMAX, and it was just mesmerising.
You think Im not serious just because I carry a rabbit?

If you pay attention at every moment, you form a new relationship to time. In some magical way, by slowing down, you become more efficient, productive, and energetic, focusing without distraction directly on the task in front of you. Not only do you become immersed in the moment, you become that moment.

It'd be up there pretty high for me. I chose it as my #2 favourite of the year. You can see my full list here if you're interested

Great list but why is The Artist on the 2012 list?

Thanks, mill. The Artist and a few other pre-2012 films are on the list because I go by Australian release dates. Unfortunately we get some things quite late.

Nope but it's one of the most enjoyable. Saw it 3 times.

Why yes, I really think it is and was. Even though Iron Man 3 looks great, how can it match or top Avengers when you think about it?

No but considering my age it was a long long way from disappointing a cynic.

After seeing the new trailer, don't count out Iron Man 3 or anything Marvel does EVER.

Avengers is better than any Superman film past, present or future to be sure.
