Raj isn't gay unless you're one of the people who believes, "A male with qualities that are stereotypically pejorative of gays MUST have a sexual attraction for other males."
Raj has a some of the former, none of the latter. His heterosexual preferences are VERY well established, as any intelligent person can clearly see.

He has had girlfriends and he's treated them all badly. He then proceeds to cry and moan that he can't find a girl.
He needs to grow up.

Why haven't the writers given Raj a girlfriend or a wife yet? His character seems so out of place now and all he has are funny one liners.

I liked Emily and her
ways; but, I think Raj
Claire played off each other bettereither would do nicely.
Or maybe a female-Raj-type (kind of the way Amy was to Sheldon, early on)ONLY THIS TIME she stays that way! If they go that routeshouldnt get any complaints about her not being good enough for himor him not being good enough for her.
BUT; do we really want to see them "tie off" the last guy in bunch? Wouldn't that feel
too much

Not quite. But a character with whom both could play off of each others oddness. I always thought he and Leslie Winkle would make an interesting end game.

That is what Raj is. There are plenty of both kinds of women around and even more in between.

I really don't understand what women would see in him. I'll admit he is cute, but when he opens his mouth, that kills it. I don't mean his accent. He's too feminine and jerky. He's not manly, but none of the other guys are too.
They all act like over grown teenagers. Leonard acts so goofy when getting sex I don't see how Penny can do him. Howard was a total creep in the beginning. The way they all tried getting laid and talked about who is getting it and who is not and to going out looking for it, and just doing things on dates that they think will get them laid makes me hate men sometimes.

I ascribe that to the TV-show aspects. In real life, I don't think someone like that would be GETTING, either. Except I guess for real desperate clingers or something.
