If find it funny that the OP is complaining about the dialogue when they chose to watch a film called "Young People F*#$ing!"

The classy girl in Friends (Kris and Matt) is Carly Pope. One of my favs. There was a great interview with her about the film. In it she says that she felt the stories were written for women- I felt that especially with First Date , Couple and Friends. She also said that Kris was talking fast to convince herself that it was cool. A couple of times however I didn't get what Kris was saying - ie when she high fives Matt.

I can understand that you might find that language unsavory, but "some whore"? Really? What you got out of that particular sequence of the movie was that she was just some whore? Did you miss the part in the dialog that describes them having a relationship going back twenty years?
Let me break it down for you. Sometimes, adults use "big people language" to describe things when they're trying to convey a certain point. For example, you might use a phrase like "emptying your balls" as a way to depersonalize sex, thereby separating the act itself from the people performing it.
Think about it this way. Let's say you're a hairdresser. Your job is to cut and style hair. Your mother decides to have you cut her hair. You might be nervous, since you know she's got a big public event coming up and you don't want to mess up your own mother's hair. To calm your nerves, your mother might very well suggest you think of her as just another one of your clients. She is depersonalizing the act of you cutting her hair and separating it from the relationship you have so as to reduce the act to its simplest form. That's exactly what Kris is doing here. She is separating the sex act from the relationship, and she is using admittedly crude language to do so.
That being said, I see nothing wrong with what she said. In fact, it's kind of hot. Now, if some random chick came up to me and said that, sure, that would be a little weird. But during an intimate moment - between friends or lovers or whatever - crude language can be extremely sexy.
There are no "bad words" and there is no "bad language". They are simply words we use to describe the world around us in a way we see fit and appropriate in the context of the situation.
