what I don't get is why give the book to her if he was working with the DEA you would think he would get a better deal for that book..

I really like this twist. Not clear whether El Quero was undercover and with the DEA right from the start or if they captured him once he was in the cartel. Maybe he gave the book to Teresa (through a friend) because he knew she'd be in danger once he was gone and he wanted her to have some leverage. He loves her and would prefer to keep her safe than make money off the book.

My first thought was that they busted & flipped him. Was hoping he wasn't dead! And where is she hiding the book!?
Lots of reasons to tune in to season 2.
