I watched the first two episodes earlier. The second goes in a direction I really wasn't expecting, but isn't completely out of the ordinary for Ryan Murphy. I'll get back to it again soon.
But yeah… it's been a while since I've watched it, but I definitely don't remember his American accent being anywhere near that obnoxious on Sons of Anarchy

His American accent in SOA was good imo but his voice is creeping me out in this lol I guess that's the point though. Ed was a freak.

the weird nazi flashbacks? I'm not digging them so I hope they stop. I'm on the third episode now. -

Tobe Hooper's monologue in episode 4: "I'm not making the movie this country wants. I'm making the movie it deserves!"
@Celestia Bloodshed- Can't fully recommend this yet, but… four episodes in Hitchcock, Tony Perkins and Tobe Hooper are as pivotal to the storyline as Gein himself and the actors are ****ing nailing it! If you can get past Charlie Hunnam's apparent vocal imitation of Yogi Bear

I can't stand listening to his voice I have to keep turning the volume up and down and then just had to turn on the captions. He sounds a little kermit-y, like Kirk. Filmboards very own. Not Charlie Kirk.

In the hands of someone like Michael Haneke, John McNaughton, or even Gaspar Noé, this could have easily been a harrowing, thought-provoking masterpiece. In the hands of sleaze maestro Ryan Murphy, however, I'm sure that it's just lurid, brainless, sensationalistic exploitation trash. One really cannot expect anything else from the guy who gave us puerile garbage like
Nip/Tuck
and
American Horror Story
.
Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.
