Question for the haters

I think people get excited for a come back of a series they loved and are disappointed. I'm always sceptical. And I'm irritated with so many redoesSome like to ragsome are truly in disbelief,(not regarding this one exactly) in general. I just posted what is at now 5 Pages I think about how terrible a new si fi series is.."Aftermath". I was in disbelief it made to to tv I wasn't alone,,lol
I liked the original so I wanted to see how this one was. I haven't seen it yet,it is in the DVR,,but people ar not saying nice things,,,so many things to watch, you have to be picky. But I don't want to miss something good.
I liked "Burn Notice" because it had the narrating style this does. Explaining how things are done..etc cabl, esp has so many good series, sophisticated ones, with good stories that fluff style prodeedursls seem silly to some. but they serve a purpose as the NCIS franchise proves. People like simple entertainment at nite after a busy day. But is has to be good and you have to lie the characters. -

And if someone gets murdered in the street, why waste your time, why not just not watch it and pretend it didn't happen? Are you a retard? That's the dumbest logic I've ever heard. If something sucks you need to complain as loudly as you can so that crap will end, if people didn't there would be no laws, no society, no anything. And no, it does not matter that a few people enjoy it, a few people enjoy rape to, doesn't mean we should let those people enjoy it. Sure, I'm being a bit dramatic to make the point, but the fact that this show exists hurts me and makes me think that if I have kids I won't let them anywhere near a TV. When not even MacGyver is safe, nothing is, so this needs to be hated and destroyed

I'm not complaining for the sake of venting my spleen. I"m complaining because the formula for this show is like slow-pitch softball: you're an idiot if you strike out! (especially if you look at the third strike!!)
Go look at my "Quincy" thread and tell me (in all honesty) this should have gone forward. The warning signs were there.
The problem with Mac '16 is it attaches stink to the franchise and it's going to be some time before it's attempted again.
If they wanted to make it an ensemble, I think it's possible - for a younger Mac. And at the end of the series: boom big explosionmaybe it's Mac's mistake or maybe Murdoc gets one up on Mac and the team is gone - and he basically sees it to be a case of he can't work with a group again. Either way, it creates a segue to Macyver '85, completing the prequel.
They've had 53 weeks since it was announced and this is the best they can do? -

You know very well people will be like that. So why are you complaining about people complaining? You keep saying the same thing and getting nowhere. Unless you are a writer or other staff in a position to improve the show, we are not trying to change you yet you are trying to change us.

Unless you are a writer or other staff in a position to improve the show
Unless things have changed [dramatically], those who have direct influence over the show, content/script, etc. can't go out & read/post things such as boards, newsgroups, etc. Not just because they don't have time, but there's too great of a chance something someone says might work its way into a scriptthat's grounds for a copyright violation suit. While there are some who say, "any publicity is good publicity", usually descendents of Phineas Taylor Barnum, it's not the type of cheque some responsible party wants to endorse & send.
Are you familiar with the Chiffons ("He's so fine") vs. George Harrison ("My Sweet Lord")?
I can provide a MacGyver situation -

The new McGuyver fails to capture the imagination, it reminds me of Burn Notice. Which l enjoyed for most of it run,
I am not so enamouered with McGuyver and find the black guy insulting, I thought the
silly black characters ended with Chris Tucker..the prodcers of Mcguyver should watch Luke Cage to see how black men really areMEN. -

I can't see how in any stretch of the imagination you can compare the crappiness that is the new MacGyver with the brilliance and fun that made Burn Notice a success. The only way MacGyver reminds me of Burn Notice is that both are on television, are script based and feature actors. That's about where the comparisons end.

Scorpion is utter trash and so is this.
It's made for stupid people to consume and think themselves intelligent because they can watch a complex themed show.
They are the demographic that doesn't understand shows like Game of thrones LOL!
Are you an SJW ? If so, please kill yourself immediately! Thanks -

I dont mind the show problem with haters is they gonna hate no matter what if they followed the original people would bitch because they rehashed the original with same arcs. or redod the show like they did now people hate on the fact its not like the original so lose lose. Then you got the idiots who were born in the 90s and 2000s who never even seen the originals and just hop on the bandwagon of haters. get over people change the damn channel if you dont like it what the remotes for go watch something else.I love the original series too i have them all on dvd even have my old vhs recordings as well but hating to hate on this is just plane stupid.

I'm definitely not a Scorpion fan, nor am I a "hater." I actually enjoy watching this reboot most of the time, but I must admit there are some things in it that are pretty silly. Like chasing a guy through a lot full of containers, then "capturing" him with a ring of fire with the only barrier between him and escape being a tiny wall of flames that is a foot wide and comes about up to his knees.
So I can definitely understand why some people really dislike it.
However, calling people "haters" simply because they don't like something that
you
like is childish. Do you think the only thoughts that should be allowed to be expressed here should be positive ones? People have a right to say they don't like something, and why this is so. The comment section is a forum, not a fan club. Get used to it, and get over it.
To use the same logic of the quote you pasted "So, instead of moving on with your life and simply not reading the negative comments, you spend time out of your day reading them then complaining about comments you could just..not read?"
It's usually pretty obvious from the titles of threads which ones you should avoid. Or even which reviews you should avoid from the number of stars. Just don't read them, enjoy the show, and stop whining.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. -

And here's more stupid beep from this episode
- The guy shoots the radio and it's in the car crushing steel enclosure bullets ricochet
- Mac rips out a CB radio. a 12 volt DC device and wires in into AC power, most likely 120 volts that would fry the radio immediately.
2a. He rips out the flexible conduit of the wires on the crusher. A normal strength human being is not going to be able to rip that out.
See, the show is F&CKING STUPID!!!

You cute little millennials and your "haters" paradigm.
Those of us who grew up watching the original MacGyver (the only sanctioned version, that is) are hopelessly disappointed by this utter travesty of TV viewing.
You pit the equally abominable Scorpion against this train-wreck of epic proportions and unwittingly believe you have created an "aha" moment.
You are wrong again. -

You cute little millennials and your "haters" paradigm.
Try Gen X!
"MacGyver" was and is
just
a fictional TV show. To me the old "MacGyver" was one of
many
shows I watched in any given week as a teenager. I was not very discriminating back then. This version is one of only 3 shows I watch in any given week. I don't look for reality, I don't expect it. If I want reality I'll go up to A&E or TLC for it, not CBS. (And by the way, couldn't care less about "Scorpion"!) -

You bring up a valid point:
I find a TV show that I don't like I don't waste my time watching it. I don't waste my time criticizing it on message boards. Above all I try to respect the fact that there are others that do like it. If we all liked the same thing TV would get very boring very fast.
We live in an era of butthurt, where expressing butthurt is freely available, and people who dare to question the butthurt of others, are considered 'haters'
Even though you clearly get it. I commend you for waking up. Keep commenting on things like this, abolish the hate feminists feel for men who DON'T BOW TO THEM.
It's so pathetic that this is where we are at with all our ideology and technology and advancements in medicine and science as well as mental health
We still just rehash old hate and bigotry from 50, 100 years agonow reframing it as a tool for vengeance instead of justice.
Prejudice isn't a character flaw, its a human biological fact. Refusing to acknowledge it's existence in any individual or group, is allowing it to run free and destroy all chance of mutual understanding / empathy towards 'them' by any 'us' there might be.
