Do horror movies need good actors?

yeah i love reading but i pretty much read 99% literary fiction. philosophers kind of escape me lol i cant seem to get into any much with Deleuze and Voltarine de Cleyre being the only exceptions. how is Macaulay tho?

It's better if there's good acting, but bad acting won't break a film for me. A Nightmare on Elm Street has some sub par acting, mostly from the mom and Nancy, but it's still a classic. Robert Englund's acting is great. The story is great.
