I like the note of ambivalence. I am not a true troll. I'm an amateur, from the Latin

, to love. I'm a poster-troll, who can post or troll with equal facility. I'm not ruthless enough to be a real troll. If I were, I'd scare myself, frankly. I usually pull back if someone is close to genuinely melting down. I got quite irritated about the racism thing, so i went much more all-out then I usually would. Normally I just fool around quite harmlessly. I blame Horatio and BLM for bringing out the trollish side of me.

Maybe you're right. But one must respect the traditional understanding of what a troll is. They are mischievous and tormenting spirits that haunt message boards. I don't mind being considered a troll: it's just that there are so many claimants to "classic trolldom" around.
