No, I believe in progress. I also believe in acknowledging the progress we have actually made instead of mainly focusing on the flaws. The attitude of dissatisfaction saying things "suck" as a general estimation of current reality, is more indicative of the person making that judgement than the reality being judged.

protesting by burning your flag is standard in the US: scotus ruled you can burn/desecrate the flag under 1st amdt immunity.
BUT the USA along with just 5 other nations permit this: canada, norway, uk, aussie, nz, and i think hungary. all of asia prohibits it. several in europe prohibit the desecration of FOREIGN flags!
so count yourself lucky you live in an enlightened nation, warts and all. oh, and get a haircut, hippie -

He may even believe the crap he spouts, but most of the time, he isn't even aware of how foolish he is.
I do hope he realizes how lucky he is to be able to sit on his fat ass all day long and put his nonsense out here.

Thousands of men and women died so this country could be as free as it is. My sister and her husband are in the Air Force. I'm very grateful and in awe of the idea that someone could risk their life for the good of a country. I'm too selfish to do that.

Many in my family were in the service as well as me. My uncles fought in Europe in WW II. A brother of mine died in Vietnam. That is a war he shouldn't have had to be involved in, but he went when his number came up.
I have to wonder if fugnut could have even managed to get up and beg the draft board not take him.
