To answer your question, posters here come from various boards. Several posted on The Soapbox, but some posted on other IMDb boards, such as Film General or various TV/movie boards. I think some just lurked on IMDb. Some posters here are from Moviechat and TMDB, but I assume most of them were on IMDb before that, even if they only lurked.

"This board" as in Filmboards? Because it was originally an IMDb archive site (it still is; several boards have archived IMDb posts), and it looks similar to IMDb (especially if you use the "Classic" theme). Many IMDbers ended up on various IMDb spinoff sites, and this is one of them.

Lol..What I mean is to just be casual like how it normally is on this board. No pressure. There doesn't have to be a war at all. I was only concerned that you were somehow making yourself less intelligent in order not to hurt their feelings.

Not to worry, honey. We at TWD are always casual, always smart, and always already (that's a poststructuralist in-joke). I don't think anything will change the core dynamic of this board. Even the second generation posters instinctively figure out the board's peculiar style (look at Styg and Corwin, who are in their way as good as any of the old-timers).
