This film is based off a true story, but also this is a typical example of why people become Christians. A classic story

"just pointing out the reality of life"
No, you are pointing out the fantasy of life. A huge proportion of Christians are Christians because they were indoctrinated as children. Same as Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc. Says a lot right there don't you think?
As for atheist's fighting a losing battle - what battle? Don't worry, no one wants to take away your beliefs. Just don't expect your superstitions to mean anything to me or to be any kind of substitute for reason and evidence. -

Upset?? Why would I be? I know where I am spending eternity, I just feel really sorry for people as yourself whom are so blinded, and deceived by Satan. I just hope someday you find the truth before it is to late for you, no need to debate really, and no disrespect intended.
Enjoy your day! -

Please when you have no argument to provide do not resort to name calling, you just embarass yourself. Furthermore, it is too convenient to invoke fallacies and logic only when it suits our needs, yet when it doesn't we call upon faith, right?
edit: the fallacy part was for jacarec, my mistake.

The term "suspension of disbelief" was coined by LOLW, the League of Lazy Writers. -

Well thank the universe I am not an ex-con, adulterer or murderer! I can safely stay being an atheist and never have to become a christian because of a guilt trip. Sorry to say this but christianity is on its way out, simple example the three or so nightclubs across Europe I've been to that were old churches.
So you're saying that as an atheist I can't convince someone who believes in God(not that I would want to, you guys are the ones who are always knocking on the door asking if i need salvation) that he doesn't exist, because he so guilty about what he has done? The only reason he believes in god is so he has a convenient way of saying that he can be forgiven of it? That's weakness, to live with what you have done and not use an old book as an easy way out, that takes strength. By the way after he became a christian he started killing people? Thou shalt not murder and the movie is called 'Machine Gun' Preacher? i know you'll say he killed those soldiers to protect the orphans, but since when has it been alright for a christian to pick up a gun and start killing, even if it could make it easier to protect the children? Maybe if we look at all the bloody murder and battles over history that have been declared in the name of god and christianity we see that actually it is not unusual for christians to want to kill people as they have holy justification. As soon as someone believes they have justification for evil actions that is when real evil rears its ugly head. So i suppose i have answered my own question. -

Wow talk about circular thinking.
"Sorry to say this but christianity is on its way out"
Ha ha ha ha, keep wishing buddy.
"The only reason he believes in god is so he has a convenient way of saying that he can be forgiven of it?"
You obviously miss the point about people getting their lives changed.
"i know you'll say he killed those soldiers to protect the orphans, but since when has it been alright for a christian to pick up a gun and start killing, even if it could make it easier to protect the children? How the heck did you go from someone protecting children too some type of "holy war"?
"it is not unusual for christians to want to kill people as they have holy justification".
Really? I am a Christian and I don't believe that :).
"So i suppose i have answered my own question".
Yea you did, because you were arguing with your self, majority of your post had nothing to do with what I was talking about.
Stalin, Hitler and countless others were atheists and responsible for many deaths of people. (Russians killed anyone who believed in God, read the book Cry of The Martyrs). So according to your logic that makes you a murderer as well. -
