That is downright sadthis movie was very movingbased on the life of this man who is doing good in the world. What I want to know is what is the United States doing about this Sudan area? I have not reseached it yet, but I hope something BIG. We send money all around the world, I hope it helps these people shown in this movie. I think the title of the movie put people off.

NO, it flopped cause it feels like a christian propaganda to anyone who lives outside US.
I liked it, because I didnt see "preacher" as a protagonist, but rather as nutcase who is taking religious paradoxes way to far. Just, waiting for him to go full mental and become the new self-appointed savior: Kony v2.0 -

It only opened on four screens. It wasn't released to make money, that was never the intention. It was essentially the producer's 30m Donation to Sam's cause to raise awareness of what was going on down there.
It is not a "flop" because making money was not the purpose of making the film -

No way, there is no such a thing. A film may be released with the knowledge that it will not make much money but this film didn't just make any money; it LOST money. No-one loses intentionally so much money on a film or any venture, no-one.
