1. Cats need toys and for owners to interact and play with them. This satisfies their natural instinct for hunting.
2. Need one more litterbox per cats in the household (1 cat - 2 litterboxes, 2 cats - 3 litterboxes, etc)
3. Cats need to explore vertical space, so install shelves so they can climb and have perches.
4. Feed multiple cats in separate bowls, and in separate rooms/areas if they are not getting along.
5. Walk active cats on a leash. Buy a cat wheel for savannah cats.

6. Don't rough play with cats like they are dogs
7. Take some cats to the vet to rule out medical issues
8. Always spay/neuter
9. Build an enclosed outdoor area if possible
10. Provide a variety of things to scratch

11. Don't feed cats people food; milk also can give cats diarrhea
12. Cats feed off human emotion, so if you're worked up over something, your cat will pick up on this & act accordingly
13. Cats are unique; what works for one won't necessarily work for another, & don't compare your present cat to a former one
