beetlejuice exists, but he is not alive, he is an undead ghost.
Because ghosts can’t technically be killed twice, the only way to get rid of beetlejuice for good would be to trap in the afterlife permanently using supernatural means, but it’s not explicitly stated in the movie how that would happen.
Maybe Spock could figure out a way to send him into a black hole that would warp time and reality and send Beetlejuice to another dimension, although that’s just the plot for Star Trek 2009,

But Beetlejuice has feelings and emotions. Doesn't that qualify as living, just not human anymore?
And if Beetlejuice was trapped in the afterlife permanently, wouldn't he still exist in the afterlife, thus being "alive" in some way?
How could Spock (or anyone) cause Beetlejuice to cease to exist forever? If that isn't possible, then Beetlejuice can never be beaten. Ever.

He is a ghost like the Maitlands. They retain their core memories and personalities, yet they no longer having a living body, they are undead spirits. They are neither human nor living.
The o ly way to permanently destroy beetlejuice forever would be using some kind of folkloric method such as salting and burning his remains/belongings, but that’s not guaranteed.
It’s a bit like trying to “kill” Pazuzu in the Exorcist, they exist on an entirely different realm from ours; the only real way to defeat them is to exorcise/banish them permanently.

So you admit Spock could never destroy Beetlejuice forever?
Because if using some ancient folklore way of destroying Beetlejuice by burning his corpse would work, why hasn't anyone tried it yet? Does Beetlejuice even have any remains that exist? What was he before he died?

Beetlejuice was a human before he died.
No one’s tried it yet because it’s easy enough to say his name three times to remove him.
Either using folkloric magic or just banishing him to the nether realm permanently would be enough to “destroy” his presence in the world of the living.
Basically it’s almost impossible to “destroy” something that already doesn’t exist on a physical level.

If Beetlejuice was a mere human being before he died, why did he become a strong ghost being? If it was common, wouldn't this happen to everyone that ever dies?
Since it's so easy to banish him by saying his name 3 times, how does he keep coming back? Don't people get tired of going in circles? In fact, if he's not much trouble, why keep sending Beetlejuice back in the first place?
Either using folkloric magic or just banishing him to the nether realm permanently would be enough to “destroy” his presence in the world of the living.
But could Spock or someone completely destroy Beetlejuice from any kind of existence forever? If not, then he is stronger than any other thing that exists on Earth.

Beetlejuice isn’t that strong really, he has access to an amazing bag of tricks but is still limited by the rules of his world. He works as a freelance bio-exorcist and has probably done the job for hundreds of years so is very good at what he does.
Beetlejuice is hired by other ghosts to exorcise the living from places the ghosts want to haunt. The trouble happened when beetlejuice decided he wanted to stay in the real world.
Destroying Beetlejuice entirely within the nether realm where he’s already dead is never really explored in the movie. It would somehow have to involve traveling to this spiritual plain to destroy beetlejuice, which would probably involve Spock killing himself to get there (this did happen in Star Trek 3 where Spock’s life force is shown to exist after his death). And it looks like the afterlife had a system of laws/bureaucracy that prevents spirits from just trying to murder each other.
At the end of the day, as a logical and rational-minded person, I think Spock would decide that merely banishing Beetlejuice is enough. The Federation look to mitigate harm and only act like the UN, not terminators.

There's no proof he's been doing that for any length of time. And he did "die" and have to start the process from the beginning.
Moreover, what was his ultimate goal? The bed the little girl.

Would Beetlejuice be able to defeat Spock if he was hired to bio-exorcise him?

So if he would succeed in being able to stay permanently in the real world, would he then be able to be destroyed forever?

Well, I don’t think Spock has the human flaws of egotism the way the Deetz family did, so it’s unlikely that any ghosts would be compelled to have Spock bio-exorcised from any property. However, if he were to find himself in a situation of a haunted grounds, it circles back to the idea of Spock being Unphase-able by any paranormal events due to his extreme intelligence and rational mindset. It’s possible that Beetlejuice’s chaotic actions might throw Spock for a loop at first, but he would no doubt have an easier time foiling Beetlejuice’s plan than the Deetz family did.
I think once Beetlejuice has permanent power in the real world, it would be extremely difficult to defeat him as the normal incantation would no longer work. Beetlejuice would be a walking biohazard, at that point Spock would no doubt work with the federal government to contain Beetlejuice, although more than likely Beetlejuice would flee and be difficult to track down. Basically all bets are off once Beetlejuice completes the ritual.
Frankly, I wish that was a direction they went with the sequel

Hi there.

But if Spock and Beetlejuice were in the same room in a fight to the death, how do you see it going? Could Spock kill Beetlejuice, or at least walk out alive?

The irony is that neither Spock nor Beeteljuice can physically harm each other. Beetlejuice can only scare people, and he’s an immaterial ghost.

What is so special about Spock?
Spock understands the trauma of human existence, for he is not home with earthmen or Vulcan; he can function only in the fabricated and neatly ordered society of the Enterprise. There, he knows who he is; he relates to his role very specifically, and this gives him a kind of cool.
