Power or not, it is going to eventually happen.
In Star Trek IV, when the crew went back to 1986 San Franciso to bring back a whale, Kirk comments they are still using money, we will have to find some. It seems highly likely that the world will also eventually go one universal currency as well.

Sounds like the Bible is right about that one world stuff. Fancy that. Kind of like all the ceremonial cleansing stuff that just happens to be good practice for avoiding disease causing pathogens in a rough environment.

I go 99% cashless too. Very rare when I have notes anymore. I am reading more and more about businesses going cashless. While it isn't a problem for me, many will find the transition troublesome.

I recently requested a replacement for my debit card and since I have a new address, it's been delayed because they messed it up
So I've had to use cash the past couple of weeks
No big deal other than I still have to keep going to the bank to get cash withdrawals -

Yes, in your wallet. I just have my credit card on my phone and some have those apple watches as well that they use.
I'm surprised the bank didn't mention this to you.

Fir it to go completely cashless they would have to guarantee that there are never technical issues with card machines or whatever they're using to accept payment. I can't see entire shops closing down for hours because a software program goes buggy.
